CDMA Bluetooth

Can someone point me in the direction of a CDMA bluetooth phone or a GMS phone that can be adapted to VZW service. I have a Acura TL that is bluetooth enabled and was to use my current VZW service.

Stand in line with the rest of us. The V710 is the only one. It should be released shortly. At least we hope it will.

If bonoriffic is right about the approval...release/shipping approval should not be to far from yeterday...it should be about 2-3 days then the phone is ready to hit VZW's shelves...My money is on the 20th thru the 29th...it'll be here any day now...Can't wait!!!

The only GOOD Bluetooth phone for GSM is the Motorola V600...you can get that if you want to use it with your TL...but if you want Verizon service...Wait for and get the Motorola V710...

Gonna stick with verizon. have had bad luck with almost everyone else. consumer reports seems to like VZW more than anyone else also. Waiting for the V710 it looks like.

Well, you could buy the DC600 Bluetooth adapter and use it with most of the v series and T series phones. Motorola is having a special where if you buy the adapter and the HS820 headset together, you get them for 99 bucks.

This is a highly misleading statement. There are plenty of good bluetooth enabled GSM phones. I own one, the Nokia 3620. I had an Ericsson T68i before it, but I don't know if I'd recommend it.

4 options:

1. Motorola 270c with BT adapter. Big, pretty solid phone (workhorse, that is), decent battery life IMHO. Easily available on Ebay. May not work with the TL, as Motorola's (early?) implementations of Bluetooth kind of, well, sucked.

2. SE T61c with DBA-10 BT adapter. A little harder to find. DBA-10 sticks out the bottom and falls off if you push it too hard - not a very elegant solution, but the first thing that "worked" with 1x, BT, and Verizon CDMA. More expensive than the 270c.

3. SE T608. Available from Ebay for about $300, or Sparco, new, for $222 or something like that (they had 7 left as of a few days ago). Requires Bitpim (free SW) and serial cable DRS-11 to get MSL code to convert from Sprint to Verizon. Not hard...

I too have the TL and will wait for the v710. I have friends using Cingular and ATT and their service is horrible.

I read that the Bluetooth adapter does not work with the Acura Hands Free Link on the TL. Sounded like a nice way to at least get a phone to work with the car while waiting for the v710.

Check out this site for some cool TL info.
