megapixels/photo quality increase with memory card???

I was told by a friend of mine who also has the V710, if I were to get a memory card, that in addition to (obviously) more memory, I would also be able to take clearer pictures. I fully realize this is a phone, not a camera, so it is understandable that the pictures are not the same quality. However, with my digital camera being broken for the time being, I have been using the phone as a stand-in and would LOVE it if what I heard were true. It doesn't seem possible how more memory could help picture/video QUALITY, not just quantity... Does anyone know the truth? My friend and I do have different wireless providers, but I don't know what kind of difference, if any, that would make in this case. Some of my photos turn out surprisingly we...

Adding a memory card will have absolutely no impact on the quality of images from the v710. The only thing it will do is allow you to store more crappy images. the image quality is governed by the sensor, the processing algorithm, and most importantly the lens. Pretty much all phones have terrible plastic lenses and hence produce bad images. The memory card is irrelevant. You can change resolution by pressing the meny button when in camera mode. Go to pictures setup and change the quality setting. this is independant of the memory card.
