First Settlement letter vs. Second Settlement mailing

GymNerd25

Verizon never sent me the first Settlement mailing for this suit and I was NOT going to be left out in the cold so I went ahead and printed out the Settlement and mailed it in before the 12.9.05 deadline. Yesterday in the mail I got the second Settlement mailing (I guess I was one of the 65,000 overlooked). Anyone think I should send this one in as well or what?

I did the same thing and got the letter from VZW and sent that one in as wekll.

Question is, which court haering do we qualify for? I would think both.

Since we don't have to send it in until March I'm going to hang onto mine to see if I get any info regarding the first deadline. If not, I'm sending in the second one.

I think we who didn't receive it the first time are in the March 16 one. 😕

"Final Hearings on the proposed settlement have been scheduled for January 17, 2006 (class members included in the initial mailing), and March 16, 2006 for class members who were included in the supplemental mailing. This website will be updated shortly thereafter, so please check back for additional information on the settlement."

Nah, I would think that if you had your claim in by the 9th you'll be included in that date. They had to have had your name in the system or else they wouldn't have been able to send the second notice. Besides, the wording for the settlement terms is different in refund vs. credit. Sending in both could give Verizon the authority to pick which one they want to award you. I personally just want a check so I can buy the a970 =D So I'm waiting until a week before the second notice is due, and if I haven't heard anything regarding the first notice then I'll send in the settlement. No harm in waiting as long as it's there on-time.

I would send it in just in case I am not sure how they are checking the list to their databases. Who knows.
