Audiovox 9900 vs. V710

🤣

The 9900 thread is claiming the 9900 will be released 4/15 and its already being stocked in the stores. Maybe, possibly, hopefully, could it be, the Moto v710 will not be far behind?

I know there is no correlation but one can hope, right?

I hope that is the case - I am in desperate need of a new phone!

releasing more than one phone at a time does not make good business sense. it creates competition within your own brand. Competition equals lower prices and less profits. I would not expect a company like Verizon to miss this point.

9900 is in the stores, the demo right now at least, that means that 3 weeks at most. The V710 just finished the testing, they haven't even finished making the demo. It will not be in stores until early-mid May

Verizon Wireless does not create competition within its own brand by releasing more than one phone at a time. VZW provides a wireless telecommunications service that is useless without a mobile phone. VZW does not manufacture the phones you need in order to consume its service. Brands like Motorola, Kyocera, Samsung, etc., manufacture these phones. (Because McDavid's Pinto of Smallville affixed its logo to that Pinto you just purchased does not mean that M...

Thank you so much for clearing this up.

This makes a lot of sense. In my opinion VZW would want to release as many phones as possible, regardless of how many in a certain period of time. The more phones they have, and the better phones they have, the more people will go to Verizon and pay for their service. They don't care if more people buy a Motorola over an Audiovox, as it doesn't effect them.

Also, Verizon is generally known for not having the best phones, the better the phones they have the more they change that image.

God I can't wait for this phone! There's going to be a mad rush to buy this phone once it's released.

Yes, I agree. Verizon's reputation (at least in Boston) is great service but poor phones. Which to me doesn't make sense as it seems it would be easier to get thes phones and harder to get the service.

I think over the summer VZW will be a good company to invest in.
