VERIZON PHONE CALL AND SETTLEMENT

I've just received a call from Verizon Wireless. They told me they were calling me because my name was on an FCC complaint list regarding the V710. They offered to notate my account to swap out my V710 for an E815 without impacting on my "new every two" plan status.

I was driving at the time and was not able to write anything down so I asked if he could leave me a voice mail with his contact info. He said that he was leave me a text message. It never came.

I called the number back the next morning and it WAS in fact from Verizon Wireless. I spoke to customer support who had no knowledge of what department called me.

The guy I spoke to surmised that if Verizon got the V710s out of people's hands and replaced them with other ph...

I was forced to switch my phone to the e815 because my V710 was no longer charging. Am I still going to be get my money back?

No. You are required to return your V710 if you choose to get a refund.

I just bought a E815 for $99 and I'll return the V710 later.

I did not join the class action lawsuit against Verizon Wireless, however i purchased my v710 2 days after its release. Would i still be able to get the full refund on the phone? If so, when should i be able to return the phone for a full refund?

No benefits will be made payable until the court approves the final settlement.

You don't need to do anything to join the Class. You'll get a notice telling you what to do next.
