New Software on V710's...how do I...
add my own custom ringtones. The new software does NOT allow you to transfer data from the trans-flash card...you can move stuff to it, but not back. It will also NOT allow you to send files from the trans-flash...the options are not there. I tried emailing the song clips via vtext.com, but it compresses them so much they sound like crap. My buddy with an older software V710 CAN text me his ringtones, which is the only way I've found to do this. I was able to confirm from a Moto rep that Verizon did request this feature removed from their software, so it will probably be the same for the E815 when it is released. Please let me know if you have any solutions for me. Thanks!!! 😉

Same here lagwagon, my wife just got a new v710 i put new background on no problem but i have tried to get the mp3 ring tone to move from the TF to the phone but the MOVE option never comes up.. 😢

I haven't tried it, but I've read of two ways to move mp3 files from the TF to the phone. One involves editing the seem files to restore the function. the other involves starting to send the mp3 in a message to a dummy address but then interrupting the send. you can find more description of these in other threads if you dig.
