I think the only way anyone is going to get their phone re-flashed it to do it themselves or know someone that can do it for you.

does the flash thats going around eliminate the ability to move files from tf to phone?

The SD flash does not elimate the tf ability to move files.... it will also make Mobile Phone Tools work via Blue Tooth!!! Just make sure you select the v710m when setting up Mobile Phone Tools.

the main thing it does is to restore the abilty to use Mobile Phone Tools via bluetooth. There is really a lot you are missing without this.

It also allows bluetooth to work in some cars where it wouldn't before.

Unfortantly, the one thing it doesn't do is restore OBEX. So, you can't exchange objects with other devices such as other phones, or PDAs.

thanks.i don't even have mpt yet but i'm planning on getting it.i probably won't be syncing with my computer that much so the cable will not be too much of a hassle. i'm just afraid i will frick up my phone if i try to do the update. and by the way i don't drive a bmw. 😁

Neither do I...but there are a lot of things in Mobil Phone Tools your are mising out on...such as making new wallpaper for your V710. Transfering Video from your computer to the phone ect!!! I don't blame you for fearing doing the flash... but it wasn't that bad to do and to me it seems to be a much better phone as a result.

i have done the wallpaper thing and video thing through the tf card.maybe i'll get my nerve up,it would be easier with bluetooth. 😁

It would be real nice if we COULD take it to Motorola and they flash it with the OEM firmware. Or better yet they just release the OEM firmware.

You are all idiots for using a BAD phone. I returned mine to Verizon and called the business Verizon line and purchased a new Audiovox XV6600 with TRUE Bluetooth and PDA.

This is not available thru the consumer Verizon people. They don't know it exists!!!!!!

Why don't the VZW CSR's have a clue about the BT resolution?

Why do they offer regular BT profiles on the Audiovox XV6600 and not the V710?

the only thing I don't lie about it is it is not a flip-phone.... maybe that wouldn't matter that much... but I prefer that form factor for a cell phone. If I wanted a PDA I would buy one and use it with a non-crippled blue tooth phone... opps... I'd have to change carriers to that??? Cingular!!!!!!!!!!!!!
