Here is my situation. I have until December 30 to get out of my contract with Verizon, my Motorola v710 or both. I have been reading the forum listings as I bought the Motorola mobile phone tools thinking I could transfer my pictures to my laptop. It appears that I cannot and that the reason is that I have service with Verizon. Is this true? Here are the pluses. I use my phone as a modem and think that Verizon is the only provider to allow this functionality for 4.95 per month. T-mobile costs 20. per month and I could not find another provider for 4.95 a month. Also I got a very good deal on the v710 because I had left for T-Mobile and the manager cut a deal with me to get my business back. I paid $50. I travel a good deal and have...

I definitely value the data more and the phone worked like a dream as a modem. I just needed to know whether there was a better situation out there for me before I get locked in. Do you know how to escalate my complaint with Verizon?

i wouldn't feel too exploited if i paid $50 for a phone as good as this one. this phone doesn't take very good pics,so i bet you won't want to transfer very many to your computer anyway.as far as the ringtones,i can transfer them from my transflash to my phone to use them as ringtones, but maybe you can't with the newer phone.so if you can't do that just figure out how much $ you will spend on transfering pice(not very good ones) and ringtones(probably 4or5).that is probably a small amount considering you only paid $50 for the phone and your only paying $4.95 for the modem.hope this helps. 😁
