Video Format

I was just wondering if anybody knows what kind of files this phone's video's are? I wanted to know if you can view the video's on your computer off of your TF card.

They are saved in .3g2 format. If you have Quicktime player, you should be able to view them with that. I'm not sure what other players will play it.

Yes. Just play what you want to see in your phone and then search the "Temporary Internet Files" under My Documents and Settings" on a Windows machine. Sort the folder by Date / Time to find the file quickly.

Then open them with Quicktime Pro (not the free version of Quicktine) and sane as .3g2 format. The options will allow you ...

They are "almost" MPEG-4 "3g2" format. Quicktime can play them, so it's not entirely bad. But it's only Quicktime 6.5 and you can only really rely on having Quicktime somewhere in the range of 3-4 on your average person's computer.

Still, ticks me off. I did some preliminary investigations and I think that it's possible to write a 3g2 -> mp4 transcoder. The only thing it'll risk messing up is the audio, which is really the main thing that makes a 3g2 file NOT MPEG-4 compliant.
