when i have my jabra bt250 sync'd with my v710 and the jabra is on and in standby mode... i want to the phone to still ring/vibrate. right now when the headset is on, i only get tones in the earpiece. in other words.. i always want my phone to alert me of a call via ringing or vibrating. do i have to leave the jabra completely turned off to do this? if so that would kind of defeat the purpose of the handsfree b/c i would have to answer a call using the phone while powering on the jabra.

can anyone lend a hand?

currently the phone cannot ring at the same time as a bluetooth headset is in use. This should be fixed in the next software update.

Oh no... looks like its ture... they are only going to allow some bluetooth fuctions to work and are killing off the abilty to tranfers audio files via the TF. (If they do that, I simply won't upgrade the software on my phone. I'll live with it till the contract expires and switch to another carrier... maybe Cingular??? (Glad, I only signed a 1 year contract and not 2.)
What a disapointment this has been... I'm sure everyone thought the same thing I did when they brought their phones... BLUETOOTH ... we brought... we didn't read the small print!!!!

Those chumps. They told me they were concerned about network security... sure, THAT'S why we can't use sound files for ring tones!

One thing you can do is leave the jabra headset on and then on your v710 go to bluetooth link then hands free and drop the headset -- it will no longer be connected to the headset and the phone will ring then you just press the button on the headset and it will connect and answer. then after the call you have to drop the headset from the phone again so it will ring,. kind of a pain but it works all right i used to do this with the bt 200 and then the hs 820 until i splurged and bought the hs 810
