Phone Crashes!!!!!!!!!!

My main complaint is that the phone crashes.... more often than it should.(Sure... the ideal answer here would be to never crash... but I think you know what mean.)

I really wish if the phone manufactures are going to make phones with all this stuff on them that makes them crash... I wish they could make them where when the phone does crash it would at least still be able to receive a phone call. Sort of a safe-mode... so to speak.(I have missed a few due to the crashing and me not knowing about it because the phone was lying on the table or was in my pocket!!!!!!!)

Do you power cycle the phone at least once a day. This can help alot. If you are still having problems you may have a defective handset.

I have not been power cycling the phone but I try and see if it improves. Hmmm... this sound familiar... is the phone running Microsoft Windows 95, 98, 98SE, ME or XP????? 🙄

No but if you think about it your phone is running more peripherals than most PC's. Bluetooth, speaker phone, t-flash card reader, phone, etc... So it can get confused easily. Not only that but your phone needs a fresh registration every once in a while.

Ny phone crashes too. Usually when I am playing PacMan or watching a video but one time it crashed when I was simply storing a number. The phone just freezes and wont even power off. I remove the battery and then it is fine. I wonder if the new ones crash too.

removing the battery and restarting is only a temporary fix. it still crashes.

I don't think the transflash card has anyting to do with it.... mine started crashing the day after I got the phone!!!!! 🤭

I also have the Transflash card but I didn't get it untill about 6 weeks after I got the phone.

You're probably putting files on the card that the phone can not understand. For example, there are some hidden files with Windows that get automatically added to the card that can cause the card to not work in the phone. Also Mac OS X does the same thing. I'm assuming your having problems viewing the contents of the card on the phone, or your phone is freezing when you go into your media gallery. Mine did the same thing when I first added files to my TF card and I couldn't figure out what the heck was going on but now I know so I'm sharing that information with you.

I had that problem, and what I found is that one of my MP3's had a virus on it, and thats why it crashed the phone. The OS on the phone is not too far different then the Windows shell. And since that is not too far, the virus;s will crash the phone and not destroy anything... LUCKY, built in virus protection. You have to find out what song has the virus on it. and get rid of it. I did not catch it cause i was doing it from a MAC, and I wont be able to get the affects of a Windows virus. So i never caught it.
