Yea I want to know the same thing.
I got dust under my screen that really sucks in sunlight, and I want to take it apart to clean it.

Dude, I got the same problem. Somehow, dust or dirt got under my screen and it's totally annoying me. Anyone know how to open it up so I can just blow out the dirt?

slip your local VZW L2 tech $5 and ask him to take it apart... bring your own canned air though. 🙂

Apply heat with a hairdryer.. When it gets pretty hot, you can use a very thin tool (small precision flathead) to gently pry it off. Do NOT have the phone on when you do this.

I have taken my v710 completely apart twice and sustained no visible cosmetic dammage (only underneath the front black faceplate, which isnt visible with the fron on).

I saw some of these up on Ebay, and I wrote the seller, asking how they attached without voiding the phone's warranty.

I suggested in my message (and he confirmed) that these covers snap AROUND THE ENTIRE phone ... you don't pry off any existing faceplates for these.

It is kind of obvious ... look a the front face plate ... where is the RING that goes around the camera???? What about the gaping hole where the external LCD is?? What do you think it just leaves the raw LCD exposed??

These are covers ... not replacement faceplates.

there is a way to everything....problem with changing the faceplate is that u need to literally tear off the face plate that is on there now...therefore, u can not use it again...i have repaired the v710 numerous times for customers...and each time that i needed to get to the LCD i had to remove all the housings around the LCD, which then can not be removed...
also Motorola issued a note that if ur date code is prior to ENJ, then ur LCD main lens should be replaced....

let me know if u have any questions

OK hear goes. From what I've seen from removing one my self along with other posts, the best way is to heat it up with a blowdrier. Start in the corners near the hinge gently pry the silver (light gray) piece away from the flip, this has a little give to it and should be easy to remove with out breaking. If replacing just this part, congrats you're done if not read on. (WARNING 👿 THIS WAS THE EASIESTS PART IF YOU HAD TO MUTCH TROUBLE WITH THIS TURN BACK NOW 😳 ). Now where I got in trouble, heat (very hot apparently) the remaining black part and gently pry (I started at the top). Be very careful not to scratch the black paint on the back of the clear plastic or crack the plastic (Don't cry to me if it breaks I warned you). T...
