710 voicedial question

Anyone find a way to have the phone say the name of a contact, so you know what the phone is looking for when you try to voice dial? For instance, I have a contact named Tiege, but there is no way in hell that the phone recognizes his name, no matter how I say it.

Thanks

Another "duct tape" approach I have found it to change the way the letters are in the phonebook entry to a phonetic spelling. For example: I have a sister Joni but entered that way the phone recognizes it as Johny. So I changed the spelling to Joani and the phone recognizes it. The phone seems to "read" the entries phonetically so you can either try to remember how the phone will "hear" the name and therefore you have to remember how to change the pronunciation each time you want to use it or change the phone entry only once to the way you say the name and then you do not have to try to remember each time.

PS. You can have the phonebook "speak" the entries back to you.

settings > personalize > sound settings > phonebook: voice

Just make sure key volume is not set to zero or you will not hear the phone reading the entries back to you.

FYI
If you have a company name that's all letters put a space between the letter then the voice dial will understand the letters. (Ex. MCI would be M C I)
