Although this phone is very, very amazing, how long do you think it will take to come out. LG always takes forever, and the fact that its obviously going t VZW because its CDMA, It wont be out until Christmas of 2005!!

Nonetheless, AMAZING PHONE!!

Under normal conditions, I would say that the phone would be available for Christmas 2004. That's the normal amount of time that it takes after FCC approval for Verizon to release a phone. But it might be longer than that because Verizon needs to strategically release the v810, vx7000, v710, and vx8000 just to name a few. These will all be popular phones, but if Verizon releases them too soon, the price will have to dip too quickly. Unl...

Mulligans83,

What is your view on the Samsung A670, it was scheduled to come out before the VX7000. And approved before it. I view, it as May and the VX7000 at June/July.

You know, I saw the 670 when it first came onto phonescoop and thought it was the hottest phone ever made. It has been sitting there as "tentative" since July and I really don't find it all that appealing anymore.

I think the 7000 will be a much better phone, and will be worth the wait for a couple months. I personally feel LGs are better made and have better RF... look at all the locking problems with the a530, not to mention the dropped calls where LGs have been fine.

Personally though, I think that the ...

2 Reasons--

1)LG is putting out VZW phones like its their business

2)The network on the phone is CDMA, what other carrier is CDMA primarily. I mean the 8000 has AMPS too, but that is for the extention lines and piggy backing for the extended service

I'm kind of disappointed with Verizon Phone department. When Verizon does get a good phone to be approved with the FCC, it takes forever for it to come out. Everyone should notice it. The Samsung SCH a610 just came out, when it was suppose to be out on the market before before Dec of 2003. In fact it was suppose to come out mid November of 2003. No 2 of 3 months later. Sprint Samsung a600 came out in the beginning of the summer of 2003. The Sprint A600 is basically the same as Verizon A610 -- the same phone with different companies. Sprint bought there phone to the market like 8 months before Verizon, meaning that if you buy that phone, your in risk of buying old technology. Everybody wants the newest technology available. I have a feeling t...

Welcome to the wait and see game. You failed to mention the CDM 9900, Sprint released their version, the CDM 9950 at the end of Jan, lets see how long this one takes.

I been in the wait to see game. I was supposed to buy the Samsung a610 but it took so long for it to come out, that I just spent my money on something else. I was even willing to pay retail price on it. Now I'm still stuck with the lame Kyocera 2325p. I hate this phone so much I wander why I even got it. Oh yeah, that was the best phone Verizon had at the time. I haven't even had this phone a year yet. I might just wait until the LG 7000 come out -- if I don't get too old waiting. 😲
