att and v400?

hey guys i heard the v400 is quadband and worldwide but im a real newb and have no idea wat that means i jus wanted to kno if i can use the v400 from cingular to work on att gsm im planniing to buy it from bestbuy (electronics store) and it is for the cingular network so im not sure if it will work on the att network plz let me kno and thankz alot

Yeah, the V400 will work with AT&T. Quad-band means it will work on 4 seperate GSM bands (800mhz, 900, 1800, and 1900), so in other words it will work with pretty much any GSM service worldwide no matter which band it uses. 800 is standard and 1900 is for PCS in the US. 900 and 1800 are used in most other countries.
