Using Nokia 6230 as a modem
Has anyone ever tried using there cellphone as modem meaning for dial up access?
If so do you need a data plan?
I tried doing dial up thru my phone connected to my laptop but it didnt work but if i just dial the number on the phone manually then i hear all the dial up noises.

i have done it a few tomes but i have unlimited data and i was doing it threw nokia PC suit.

You wil definatley want unlimited data if your going to use it alot. I know you can definately use that phone for a modem.

i have this phone. Sometimes during a GPRS-session with a PC or a handheld via Bluetooth the phone stops processing. the ssame happens when i synchronise it with zyb.com to store my contacts.
