battery - how much talk time do you get?

i know that the official talk time for this battery is 4 hours. i haven't gotten anywhere close to that. i charged and let the battery completely drain three times - as the book suggested.

i have turned off the screensaver, bluetooth, speakerphone and anything else that could make it lose its battery more quickly.

i erased my talk time totals and conducted an experiment to see how much time i got. my phone died last night after only 2 hours of talk time.

what gives? have other people experimented to see what kind of time they are getting? i know the battery life is bad for a nokia, but this is bordering on ridiculous.

I did the same experiment as you did. I fully charged my phone and erased my call timers. I think I ended up with about 3 hours and 15 minutes total talk time. But you also have to deduct battery power for all the other times you're playing with your phone (taking pictures, playing with the menus, etc.) and the fact that it used up more power than normal when you're in a room or something with no service and your phone is searching. Anyway, I haven't really done the experiment again to try and repeat my results, but I would imagine it would be similar.
