Extended Battery: weight and bulk

I don't seem to be getting enough life out of my standard battery (c. 2 days with minimal use - maybe 20 minutes talk maximum). Do those of you who have the extended battery on the phone find it much bulkier and heavier than with the standard battery? I know the Audiovox 9500 (a GREAT phone) was like a small tank with the - very necessary - extended battery.

I'll let you know tomorrow when my 9900 comes in. I bought the extended battery right away just in case.

I have been using the 9500 with the extended battery. I hope the 9900 won't be as big.

I bought the extended battery a couple of weeks ago. I find that when I use my phone with the Audiovox leather case (the kind with a swivel clip) the extra bulk/weight is hardly noticeable. But when I take it out of the case, and use it by itself, I do notice the size and weight difference. I will say that the extended battery "seems" to last about 3 times longer than the standard one. Another option might be to carry a second standard battery. Hope this helps.

well i think something is wrong with your battery, it lasts more then 20 minutes in 2 days, I get a full day with heavy usage with the screen on the highest brightness always on and mobile web and 2 days if I dont use it heavy. I did notice though that you can get less out of the battery on the second day but thats normal

This phone is has much better battery life than it's predecessor the CDM-9500. But I with both phones always plugged in anywhere I went in the car or if in the home I would top off the battery in the charger. This way I was always dealing with a fully charged battery when and where I could not be plugged in. The extended size battery was always a option and not a necessity for me. The Military follows similar practices. 😎
