I've been reading all of the comments on this forum and I am almost convinced to run out and purchase this phone in the AM. While I am aware that this Audiovox is manufactured by Toshiba, I am a bit weary of Audiovox phones, especially after my short-lived encounter with the 8900. I have a Kyocera-2235 and it was a great phone. I know it's time to let it go, but it's extremely sturdy. I've also heard rumors (again) that Verizon may carry the Motorola V-810. Can anyone tell me how the CDM-9900 would stack up against the V-810?

Also, was anyone aware that the NE2 is only good for six months? My contract expired in June, yet I was elgible for a new phone two months prior to the expiration date. Now I am being told that I must utilize m...

I replaced my 3year old lg 510 with this phone. I never knew of the NE2 restriction until I saw this on their site:

If you enrolled in the program on or after 11/25/02, you must take advantage of the New Every Two offer within six months of becoming eligible; otherwise, you may be charged full retail price to upgrade your current handset.


Anyway, I was 1 year expired and the verizon stores I went to said dont worry about it. They will give you the $100 (1 phone, no equiptment) even if NE2 expired.
