PCLink vs. QuickLink Mobile Phonebook
I bought the Mobile Office Kit from Verizon to make it easier to upload and download phone numbers to my a670 phone from my PC. It works OK although it won't do an actual sync operation where it compares the phone database to the PC database and resolves any differences. I then discovered the PCLink app on the Samsung site and downloaded it. I installed it and ran it but it couldn't find my phone. I'm using the USB cable that came with the Verizon Mobile Office Kit. What's worse is that the installation of PCLink seemed to screw up QuickLink Mobile Phonebook as well in that it could no longer find my phone, either. I went through hell trying to recover from this as things went from bad to worse and my even CD drives quit working due to drive...

I wasn't in your hell, but after cleaning up some unrelated programs and installs on my PC, the Mobile Office Kit wouldn't work any more.
I reinstalled the drivers, uninstalled them multiple times, but finally the only thing that seemed to work was doing the System Restore.
Never figured out exactly what happened.
