voice contact: change default number ?

is there a way to change the default number associated with the voice contact? i noticed that it always calls the first number under a contact's name. I suppose you could delete all the numbers and reenter the one you want as default first, but that seems like the long way around. Otherwise, the voice contact dial is kinda weak, you have to really type in a name that'll be easily recognized by the algorithm.

just enter the number you'll want to be recognized by the voice command first. it doesn't matter if it's a home, work, fax, pager, etc. it only matters which you enter first. do it correctly the on the onset, and you won't have to delete anything. i think LG's method makes sense. 🙂

thanks for the reply. yeah, it makes sense; but it also makes sense to have an option to change the default # 🙂 or... if i usually call someone on their cell, but to save their minutes i want to call at home, it'd be good if you could have the phone ask "home, mobile, ...?" oh well, wishful thinking i guess. Thanks!

First select the contact you want to change. Scroll to the number you want to make the default number for voice dial. Hit the left soft key (edit)...then the right soft key (options) and scroll down to "set as default#" and click ok. Thats it!...If you try that with the first number, the "set as default" option will not be there because it is already set as the default number.
