Hands
I realized that while wearing a head set I could hit the voice button on the outside of the phone with the handset closed and make phone calls with voice dial...problem, I cannot find a hands free head headset with a on/off button. It is incredibly stupid to have to open the handset and then close it when you want to end a call...after all you have made the entire call by only touching one OUTSIDE button. I realize you can just wait for the other person to hang up but that is not always the best way (checking voice mail)...does anyone know how to end a call with the outside buttons (with a hands free headset on), or a head set that works for this phone with an on/off button(i returned the Jabra one that had no on/off button)

I posted with the same question some time ago. I am still looking for the answer. I agree.

Walmart sells one with on/off button that I use. Its made by Belkin and costs about 14 bucks. It has a flexible extended silver colored boom mic. The tip of the mic is shaped like a lead bullet tip and dark grey in color. Pressing the button will end the call with phone closed. If phone is just idle and closed, pressing the button will redial the last number.

Good, glad it works. That cord that comes with it is long enough to go fishing with. 😉 I just came from an ATT 6360 phone that was a cinch to voice dial with using the ear bud with the button. If phone was idle and you pressed the button on the cord, it would activate the voice dial sequence. You didn't have to touch the phone side button like on this 4500.

yes it is loud enough, although there is not a volume control for it. The Jabra headset that you can buy from Verizon is louder and fits better in the ear, and is VERY comfortable but I refused to use it and returned it due to having to open and close the phone to end the call...very stupid not to have an END button on the headset. If Jabra comes out with one with the button I would probably get it...but until then this earpiece for 14 bucks at walmart does the trick nicely.
