I have discovered that you can press the up button on the navigation circle and turn the speaker on. when you close the flip it will say "speaker on" on the outside lcd. i haven't been able to determine what the purpose of this is. if anyone figures this out, let me know.

hey guys,

I thought I read somewhere, possibly from one of you two, that if you put the phone in some sort of auto-answer mode, i've never used a feature like that on a phone, but if you do that and then turn the speaker on and then close the phone, when you get a call it answers and it is on speakerphone and you can talk. so i guess then using the phone with it closed...??? I don't really know, as soon as I can get the phone I am going to figure all this out!

I stated at some point that I was able to be on the phone and disconnect the headset and go to speaker. This may be how I did it. I am wondering why they allow the "speaker on" option with the flip closed when they don't allow calls using the speaker with the flip closed (without trickiness).

phn43z said earlier that if you put phone into auto answer mode, you can use the phone closed (for incoming calls) as long as the speaker is turned on. You don't have to be in the driving mode.
