Voice Recognition problem?

Jan 31, 2004, 5:49 PM
This is something I discovered by accident, and from what I can tell the manual makes no mention of this (probably because it a software error). I tested this "problem" on my unit and another unit at the store:

When adding contacts, or editing or adding numbers to a contact the voice recognition gets screwy...it usually cant identify the contact you just altered. For example, I had my friends name "mike" in the phone, it worked fine, until I went in afterwords to add another number to it, after that every time I said "mike" the phone would not recognize the contact name..or it would bring up another contact (in mine it was "mom") at first I said "what the?, but it was just working!" then I went to store to see if I could replicate the pro...

I don't know if this will help you, however when making changes to some electronic devices you have to turn the device off and on for the changes to take place, your phone may need this to happen as well.

yeah, I discovered ths when then unit at the verizon store did the same thing as mine did, but I wanted to post this discovery so other might not think its a defect (that is if other really do experience this problem) I will be sttoping by another store today to test their demo unit to see if it does the same, and if so, ohh well, guess will be turning my phone off and on after adding or edittin contacts until a fix from lg is passed on. 😕
