I've given up on the A610, been waiting for it for almost a year. Not worth it for obsolete 640x480 graphics and no outer display.
I broke down and got the Audiovox 8900.
Oh well.

Gezzz get a clue dude. The cellular phone company does not make the phones. They only offer the service. So by saying "More Junk from Verizon" this statment is untrue.

At least I get service with Verizon almost anywhere I go unlike the others I have had. I got to say they might be the most $$$ but it is well worth having such GREAT coverage. I can't believe some people pay the other companys for the crappy service they offer.

Heya!! You tell them... 🙄 Yeah Verizon does not make the phone.. I've had verizon ever since they were Airtouch... very Happy with the service.. friend has T-mobile and another friend has Sprint... what a joke!! Thier service doesnt even work half the places mine does... Verizon is the most money.. but I will pay for if my phone works when i want it to and not to mention almost wherever....

I'm tired of most of the verizon customers with inexpensive phones thinking it is a crime to want a phone with everything on it. I signed up for verizon for their service. It is the best by far and I have had AT&T's digital, AT&T's GSM, and have seen Sprint & T-Mobile operate in areas I use my verizon. They all fail in comparison to service. I do agree that these companies disguise their crappy service with great phones & deals. But having great service shouldn't stop verizon from having great phones. Being a provider of something great is not an excuse for not being a provider of something greater. I'm not bashing all the phones on verizon. I'm sure most of the inexpensive ones work for just the regular user, but I am the type of pe...

I agree with msutela, for I am a gadget freak..BUT in verizon defense, they are catching up to the times, The other problem is (and you may have noticed) is that their is only a handful of phones that are ported or made for CDMA technology, everything..EVERYTHING comes out for GSM..all the cool crap we want. BUT it could be worse, I mean look at cingular..they have JUST started getting color phones in..and their service is crap. All-TEL has about the same lineup of phones a Verizon, (also CDMA, that why) and then their is ATT, its basic TDMA phones a simple units..not much flashy technology here, except for their GSM lineup..BUT their GSM network is crap right now (at least were I live) (in fact Cingular and ATT are both TDMA and Cingular is...

I have no idea what u guys talking about... I have no problems with cingular. Their phone kicks ass. I have the motorola v400 quad phone. Worked everywhere in europa. My friend has verizon. He had to changed 5 different phones cause they keep breaking on him. Most of the time they gave him refurb phones. If ATT merger with Cingular or merge with vodafone or DoCoMo. Boy the GSM market is going to dominate here. CDMA is out. Everyone focuses on GSM.

Actually I used to work for Cingular...and they are mostly a TDMA network (for now..they are converting to GSM), the phone you must have must be a GSM/TDMA unit..thats why you could use it in Europe. And I will agree with you GSM does kick ass, in Europe..however here, sad to say, CDMA is still the larger spectrum, even if and when Cingular merges with another carrier (more than likely it will be ATT) it still will only be limited to what towers they currently have..it does not mean..ok..we are two companies now one..so the network is better..they still have to add moe towers (Cingular suffers greatly from call blocking) verizon, at least in my state, has little to no call blocking. In fact consumer reports rated verizon the best in handlin...

i used worked for cingular too. When they were converting to GSM.. they were horrible. now gsm works fine for me. The motorola v400 is a quad GSM only. It's not a TDMA/GSM phone. I wanted to verizon one time. but they dont have any good phone whatsoever. you gotta admit... all the cool phone is all GSM. Especially using the SIM card, boy talk about never have to transfer # one by one ever again. verizon gotta do something or they lose. BIG TIME!

as I previously stated, I am bassing the coverage issue with GSM here in Florida, cingular has yet to convert its towers fully here..so the sevice all in all here for Cingular is horrible..blocking is an all time high within tampa and orlando, and you can forget about driving around, dropped calls left and right. I still had the Unlimited inbound on my plan for a year after I left Cingular, it was the only reason I stayed, but because of coverage issus I had to switch. what was the point having unlimited inbound if I always have to call back because my service dropped calls. Now if you are living in the Cali zone, I think Cingular has finished the GSM switch in that zone. Yes GSM has some cool phones (really cool phones), thats because thats...
