I just came back from a motorola conference and they announced that the long awaited V600 was having major problems with FCC approval. They expect that the technical issues will be corrected by the end of the 2nd quarter of 2004!

I don't understand how this could be. This isn't the first phone motorola has built. There is nothing that ground breaking in this phone that I can see that could cause the FCC to reject it. Is there?

There really isn't anything that groundbreaking. It's based on the same platform as the V300 and V500. The V300 is already available through T-Mobile and the V500 has been FCC approved for over a month.

When you look at the specs between the V500 and V600, there's not much difference other than customizable covers.
