CIngular att merge
Did anybody notice that sometimes their phone sometimes says ATT wireless....and other times says Cingular Wireless??....mine was switching back and forth all night...and i tried calling 611 when it said cingular...and i went to cingulars 611...but when it says att...i go to atts 611...(obviously)..but does anybody know if they are already starting to merge the company's...i thought it was suppose to be next year??

Stop screwing with the guy. It has nothing to do with the merger...you just happen to be picking up a Cingular signal. They have sharing agreements to use each other's signals.

I don't think he's just screwing with the guy. The new AT&T "Flagship Plans" have been in testing modes throughout the last week. They launched this morning and use the combined towers of Cingular & AT&T Wireless. In some cities you can now use the 850MHz which will allow for better indoor coverage and coverage overall than 1900Mhz. A little quicker than expected, eh?

No, they haven't started. Cingular and AT&T merger will not happen until the earliest, September. It hasn't even been finalized yet.
