1CR and 1DR Differences

Cassie,

Can you please do me a favor and outline the differences in 1DR and 1CR? What I need to know is what I lose moving from 1CR to 1DR, and what I gain in the change. I'm sorry for asking this, but if you can, I need specifics... Thanks a bunch. You're a sweetie.
😁 😛 😉

Is this the moving from Asian to Euro version?

I have one of each and she said the Asian is the 1CR. I hate it.

I'm about to flash, but I wanted to know if I need to leave my SIM in the phone?

Also will I lose all pre-installed ringtones/wallpapers?

Thanks and Good Luck.

Yes, going to 1DR is flashing with the European version. You can leave the SIM in your phone while you flash. You will lose all pre-installed ringtones & wallpapers, but you get different ones with 1DR.

A sweetie? Thank you 😛

There aren't any real big differences between 1DR and 1CR ... except 1DR is the "final" version for European v600s as of 3/1, and 1CR for Asian versions.

1CR has asian language support, 1DR doesn't.
1DR is faster, probably because it doesn't need to support asian languages.
1DR doesn't have the voice mail icon problem with AT&T, unlike 1CR (at least that's what I see on my phone).
In 1DR, you lose the ability to permanently set your "caller id" option (visible, invisible) when you call others, but you can hide for the next call.
1DR comes with different games than 1CR (but you can upload games back on to a 1DR flashed phone)
1DR has different ringtones & wallpapers vs. 1CR

Those are the only difference...

Yes, a sweetie. 😉

But, bottom line..... Would you flash, or wait the unknown amount of time for the AT&T or American final version? (I've heard Motorola technicians may not have the AT&T flash available for a couple of months).

I've flashed my plemix phone from 1CR to 1DR. It fixed my voice mail icon problem, and it's a bit faster.

I'm also waiting for the AT&T/American final version too 🙂

😲 Sorry Cassie, my phone came with the 1DR version and I'm having the same IM and VM problems? Can't even get the Web Browser Message from AT&T to setup Mmode.

Maybe I should flash with the published 1DR version?

1DR or 1DR_A? My phone has 1DR_A from v600.cjb.net.

Also, where are you in the U.S.? I heard that the vm problem is still there on the east coast, but mostly fixed in the midwest/west coast .. that could be it too.

I'm not sure ... flashing it to 1DR_A may fix it, but I don't know if it's later or earlier than 1DR_A1

Hey Casssie,

Just flashed phone to get rid of the asian. Went to the 1DR_A.

Now it shows line 1 or line 2. Anyway to disengage that? If not no problem.

I have 1DR_A1 on my other V600 can I take that software and import into my Flasher and then flash this on to that F/W?

Regardless thanks for your help

My 1DR also shows the Line 1 indicator. No problems with this that I can find.

I got rid of the line one/line two, the voice mail problem and the weird "_@" text message when I flexed the phone with the same firmware that I found on v600.cjb.net site that you guys provided, though those same flexes and flashes are in motoclub.com as well. Keep me posted, my phone works fine now, by the way.

I screwed up by not backing up my ringtones, though ☚ī¸ .

I don't know if there's a way to get rid of the line icon ☚ī¸

I don't know of any way to "download" a firmware from a phone without special equipment ...

Cassie 🙂
