as this phone appears to only be comming out for att and cingular 😢 me being a happy tmobile customer not wanting to switch service providers would it be cheaper to buy this phone w/o service and then have it unlocked or buy it unlocked? im thinking the first ways "cheaper" (i have a feeling this phones gonna be egleast 400 dollars w/o service)

I thought this phone can work on all GSM networks..? I.E. Attws, Tmobile, Cingular.. etc..?

The V600 its a quad band GSM phone which means it will work on any literally any GSM network in the world, however, GSM phones come with SIM locks. SIM locks tie the phone to SIM cards of only one operator, that means if your V600 or any other GSM phone has a SIMlock on it, it will only accept SIM cards from one carrier, the phone is said to be "locked", if you enter the SIM unlock code you can insert any SIM card of any carrier in the world. 😉

I am with T-Mbile right now. When the phone comes out, where will I go or who will I call to get the SIM unlock code? 😕
