I went to bed at 1am and woke at 8 am and my battery was drained, it was fully charged when i went to bed. This is the second time this has happened to me. Has anybody had the same problem or did I just get a bad battery.

Thank for you help in advanced

Wow you get 1 to 2 days. No im not downloading anything at night. Today was my first day back at work since i got my Droid. I worked an 8 hour shift and i hardly used the phone and it was almost dead when i got home. Im gonna used one of the task killer apps tonite to see what happens.

No kidding on the 1 or 2 days. I get about 8 hrs. I figure some of the apps and widgets I use run the battery down. Namely weather bug. I'm very concious of what I have open and what not by routinely looking through the "running services" I know I use it pretty heavily since I got it. I'm interested to see if others are getting as good of battery life as Menno. Menno, correct me if I'm wrong but yours isn't a connected device? Maybe that's saving life? Hopefully more people will comment

I turn off most syncing at night as well, and use the app killer before bed.

Yes, it just recently connected, but I live in a solid connection area, so batteries always work better than expected up here.

I used to get an easy 3 days on my tour.

For the droid, I played a two hour movie last night on it.. only took a quarter of my battery.

I get a few hours (2-3 hours) tops on my Droid. It's so difficult coming from a Blackberry where I charged it once every 3-4 days. Great suggestion on the app killer cause I need it. Either there's something(s) draining my battery or I have a bad battery. Either way I have to find out what the issue is.

My Droid get's what I think to be horrible battery life. I can only get about 10 hrs on my battery and that's with using app killer. I had it off the charger yesterday (with full charge) and in 10 minutes it was showing 80% on the battery. And I hadn't used any apps, media, or anything, just a couple of text messages.

Same here. My battery life is horrible but i am coming from a blackberry which has great battery life. The droids battery life is similar to that of the iPhone which i was charging twice per day.

yeah..battery life is def not great even with minimal use.

moreso, it seems very slow to charge as well

any ideas, the app killer i installed was running alot of ads, further kills battery as well opens the phone up to other potential issues

I second killing the apps, especially if you were playing around with maps and using the GPS mode for your locater. That really drains the battery... but it's so cool 🙂
I use advanced task killer and it's free.

here is a couple of tips to get better battery life, cause i seem to get almost a 1 1/2 on mine (when I'm not playing my nestoid) make sure ur wifi is off when not using it or if you are in a wifi area use it this will help with battery life. another is turn on your auto screen light adjuster, this will turn up and down the brightness of the screen depending on where you are. cranking at full brightness will kill any smart-phone battery. also if you have multiple email accounts try putting the sync to 1 hour for i noticed i had my on 5 minutes and damn! also get a program called advanced app killer this helps huge! (make sure you ignore programs that you want to still be running for this will turn off all if you don't) and make sure your ...

to everyone that posted in this thread about their batteries draining fast, check what is draining it... settings, about phone, battery use. The phone tells you what is draining the battery.

I am having to charge mine every day, but then again when I check it the display is using 70+% of the battery because I am playing around with it so much... I should really turn down the brightness... but its just so bright!
