BlackBerry Storm 9530

help with update

Have tried to follow a few links from my computer to upgrade my phone with the new OS but my computer isnt allowing it??? Can i do the upgrade on my phone itself? sorry if this sounds like a silly question 😁

I think you can update directly from the phone. Try Options/Advanced Options and "Wireless Update" and see if it lets you. The wireless update option usually lags behind a couple of days from when the official OS's are released.

From what I understand, Verizon isn't pushing this OTA. You can only get it through Desktop Manager or Blackberry.com

sounds like the update is too extensive then. I know when they do over the air updates, only the files that need to be replaced are. They don't overwrite the whole OS in other words.

thanks for all your help! Got it downloaded now. Liking it so far i cant believe how fast everything is moving now! 😲
