What does this make it, the 12th or 15th leak or something 😳

Not officially released by Verizon yet, but if you haven't updated from .75 I highly recommend upgrading to something else just to keep your sanity 😁

Any comments about 148? How's it holding up? What improvements were made?

I'm really digging it. Battery life is much better. And the radio code seems solid.

Go to crackberry.com to search the forums.

I'm glad I dumped .132

Can't comment on battery life, but this one is running well for me so far.
I noticed when I have my phone locked and I wake it up without pressing the lock key, it is no longer showing the "screen is locked. Press the Lock button to unlock" message in 2 different places.

speed is good!

Right now I'm on .141 and I've noticed that when I lock the phone, if I press any button (send, end, back, menu) it unlocks which it obviously shouldn't. Anyone have this issue? Is there anything like this with .148, very annoying b/c it easily unlocks when in your pocket. Thanks.

Hawk: What is the danger in downloading a leaked version rather than a Verizon released authorized version? How difficult is it? Will I get new problems? Viruses? Will it void my Verizon warranty? Is it really worth it and just wait forever and forever and forever for a POSSIBLE upgrade?

Thanks.....

Only ran across one time on crackberry where someone was fooling around with one that had a virus. Was easy to spot.
Good idea with these files to download and check with a virus checker anyway.

.148 downloaded and installed easy for me. This one I just downloaded it, ran the .exe file, plugged my Storm in and started Blackberry Manager. It did the rest including backing up my files.

Hey guys, I am hoping someone can help me out. I upgraded from the last official Verizon update (0.75?) to .148 and find it to be substantially better, I just have one problem answering or making calls.

When I receive or make a phone call I can't talk until I hit the menu button and select the mode I want my phone to be in. For example, if I receive a call, the caller shows up on caller ID, I hit answer, and cannot hear or talk until I hit the menu button, where I am presented with the option to Activate Headset, Activate Speaker, Activate Bluetooth, etc.

This causes an awkward pause when I am answering the phone. I've explored the option menus, but can't seem to find a way to default the answer mode to headset or whatever. I just ...

The most direct way for me to get to the dialpad is to hit the green hard key on the bottom left. I also answer using the green hard key and end my calls with the red hard key this way.

I am not having any problems with .148 using the screen buttons to answer but I know that other OS's in the past have had that problem.

Also, If you have a bluetooth device paired and on when you make or answer a call your phone may be trying to use that device first.

Also, there is a phone settings menu and it's sort of hidden from other settings. While looking at your dialpad press the Blackberry key (the hard key to the right of the green key), go to "options" and then "general options". Make sure those setting are to your liking.

Hope this hel...
