The forum name is 'Research In Motion BlackBerry Storm 9530' And this update is for the Blackberry 9500 which is a different phone so what he said is not stupid. Most people on this forum are going to have the 9530 since that's the name of the forum. I'm sure lots of the info on this forum will transfer over to the 9500 but the advice is still valid.

so, any smart person, who has the 9500, would read it and see it is for the 9500 and use it, and those without the 9500 will not.

both of you are neglecting the fact that not everyone is smart enough to read something that has a title do not use. Be more specific when you reply to forums. It is very specific. This is a forum for the blackberry storm 9530. So people can safely assume that those reading their posts have the Blackberry storm 9530. Therefor 'do not use' is as specific as one needs to be since that update is not for the phone that this forum is about.

Ok let's say I live in india and go to phone scoop.com and type in blackberry storm...what comes up? One version of the storm. So I will then proceed to look at the forums and see if maybe someone mentioned anything about the storm that they have. The THC touch pro comes in many american versions but is featured as one phone on phonescoop so don't be onesided and think about your self. There is many people who use the vodafone version because its not locked and easier to set up other networks with in the united states.

im not worried about my phonescoop image, i know who i am in real life. also, people who are going to be flashing their software are probably smart enough to read the forum.
