Is the Storm BMW Integrated Bluetooth compatible?

BARNEE

Has anyone successfully paired the Storm with a BMW with the integrated Bluetooth option? BMW puts out a list of “approved” phones, however I have used phones that were not on the list, and not been able to use phones that were on the list. Go figure. If you were able to pair it, did all the functions work correctly, such as I-drive control, dashboard phonebook, etc? Any help would be appreciated. It may make the difference as to whether or not I “try” the Storm. You know, the best piece of junk out there! Just read the user reviews. LOL Thanks

I had the same question, although it was in regards to SYNC in my Ford Explorer. The tech explained it to me this way: phones are developed faster than the system for vehicles. Therefore, my Storm paired perfectly with my vehicle. I would say the Storm would pair with the bluetooth in your BMW.

The Storm should allow itself to be used with the BMW bluetooth regardless of car. Base usage as a speakerphone. That part is sure to work.
However with transferring contacts from the phone to the phonebook stored in the car, thats another issue. Since the car literally becomes the Storms speakerphone, you can simply use the address book, in the phone, keeping it all on the phone. Also make sure the bluetooth module in your BMW has the most recent firmware programmed into it. Contact BMW customer Service and ask them a specific question as to the effect of.
"Has bluetooth support been added for the Verizon BB Storm been included in the most recent firmware updates" this way you dont have to keep going back to the dealer to get your BT modu...

Well, I answered my own question today. My local Verizon was kind enough to loan me an employee's Storm and I took it in the parking lot and WAS able to pair it with my integrated bluetooth in my 07 X5. The BMW version of Bluetooth I am running is BMW1104. I was able to use all functions of the factory Bluetooth. Phone book on dash, I drive control, speaker phone, etc.

But I just purchased and installed a Scosche Bluefusion bluetooth car kit for my Storm and there were no problems getting it to pair.

Had to play around with the Storms bluetooth settings a little (turning on echo control, making it discoverable, etc.) to dial it in properly.

"best piece of junk out there" comment was funny as hell 🤣

Thanks for turning me on to the BlueFusion Hawk! I've been looking for this very thing for a while.

Easy install yourself and your not butchering your vehicle up to get it in either. I have a GM vehicle and it just plugged into the XM tuner box. I ran the microphone wire to a good place and that was it!

Caller id shows up on my radio, steering wheel controls answer the calls. Will know better about it's call quality this weekend with a road trip 😁
