Just like it says. You can follow the link here if you want to try it. Looks like you would have to delete the vendor.xml file since this is not a Verizon specific verson. The forum attached to it can help you decide if you are able and willing to try it.

I would guess RIM has released these updates to the carriers but Bell has approved it's version before Verizon. Speed it up VZW!!!

Looks like people are having trouble getting Desktop Manager to recognize the install.
Turn you internet off at least until you get to the summary screen telling you it is updating. That way it is forced to look on your pc for it and NOT the internet.

Are you getting much lag time w/ the device? I put my phone besides my mother's iPhone to compare the transition time between selections and they were basically the same. They both have the little transitions between screens but I haven't had any noticeable performance issues. I did however have a hell of a time putting VZ Navigator on the phone something was wrong when I first tried to install it. Other problem was w/ my tethering but I removed it and reinstalled it this morning and its fine. The display model @ the Verizon store I visited yesterday was slow as molasses though.

I have not spent a lot of time w/ the device but I been lucky enough to not have as many problems as I see some of the others have been experiencing.

I agree...I'm pretty conservative. I still have XP and still waiting until I my IT guy gives me the green light for Vista. My girlfriend put it on her computer when it first came out and she did not fare to well w/ that. I used a Beta maybe once and that was for Skype which did not turn out bad for me at all.

Vista. Now there is another in a long string of OS releases that was not perfect on day 1 🤣

It took me 2 years before I would upgrade from OS9 to OSX on mac. Vista I have yet to take the plunge from XP 😁

.75 made enough of a difference on the lag issue for me to be happy with it for the time being. The accelerometer was driving me crazy on .65 as was the camera lag issues.

Although what people are experiencing with the Storm is at all ends of the spectrum, the majority have seen noticeable improvement with the leaked update.

Camera is not up to snuff yet even with .75. More than the normal lag for a cell phone camera still. I never expect anything good from phones with cameras in them anyway. they all are garbage.

One problem I do have is that I have to hold the phone key down until it picks up the call. I should only have to hit it once but that's not the case here. Have any of you experienced the same thing?
