I Now have it in hand and about to leave the Verizon store.

One more thing Id like to add. Its nice to see 100+ people waiting outside this store in the cold, knowing they will be there for hours. Im done and out.

I've had mine for almost 2 hours now. For the most part, I'm very impressed. Typing is quick, email set up was a breeze, web browsing is fast... I do have a couple of complaints though. When typing a message, if a mistake is made and you try to go back and correct, it's difficult to get your cursor to go exactly where you want it, unless there is some way I'm missing? Also, just plugged it in for the first time and then sat down to play a bit more. Went into the Visual Voicemail settings, decided to exit out and check something else out and when I did, it said I had changed settings and did I want to save. I chose discard and the phone is now frozen. Since I just plugged it in I'm not sure I want to unplug it and try to manually reset ...

Press and held red END key and phone manually turned itself off. I restarted and it's back to the home screen. Like I said, hopefully just a one time glitch!

I had the phone for a day now and am not impressed. Largely cause of the bugs and its very frustrating, but if Verizon doesnt fix it within a week, I am giving it back and will tell them to screw their $35 restocking fee. i will refuse to pay it. They overhyped this phone and delivered a half baked product. They cannot expect me to pay a restock fee if I am not given a full working device. Its as if we are all beta testers.

I will give it a week. I really want to love this phone as it has so much potential. I am starting to realize just how good my i760 is. I demo'd the HTC Touch Pro from Sprint for a few weeks and when it (or the Omnia)comes to Verizon I may go to that, but only if the battery life is better on VZ than Sprint. (Sprint wo...

Why not take advantage of the 30 day return policy? I'm hearing there's supposed to be a software update out within the next couple of weeks. If that doesn't happen or if it doesn't fix the bugs, as long as you stay within 30 days you shouldn't have a problem returning it.

I would love to be the rep that you tell that you refuse to pay the restocking fee.

I would tell you if you don't pay it, you don't get to return your phone.

And if you get rude, then I tell you to leave.

If you don't leave, I call the cops and cancel your account with an ETF.

It's all in the 2 year service agreement. Read it.

Spoken like a teenager that does not understand how things work in the real world. I would have your manager tripping over himself to fire you by the end of the day.

My thoughts exactly. With reps like you, with that ****y big shot attitude, yours will be the next major corporation in line for a government...

Read your Ts & Cs, everything I said is in the terms. It's all legal. I tell all of my customers (and have a very loyal customer base) about the restocking fees. All the reps at my store do. But occasionally we have someone who wants to come in and cause a scene and whine and scream about shouldn't have to pay the restocking fee.

I am all about the customer. If it seems like it was something on our end, or if it's justified that they shouldn't have to pay the fee, then of course we can explain the situation to our manager and have him waive it. But why should someone who wants to scream and complain get special treatment over someone who took their time to make sure the phone was the one they wanted and doesn't return it, OR retur...

I would be willing to pay the restockling fee in any other given situation, but if I decide to return it in the next few eeks and no updates to the storm are out to fix the issues, they basically misrepresented their phone and sold me something that I didn't get. Someone on this forum justified the restocking fee as a way to get the salesmen to sell you the right device so you dont return it. Well all their marketing for this storm and all they're pushing by everyone at VZ is to get everyone to buy this phone. So they misqualified me if they thought I was interested in a smartphone device that doesnt work as its advertised to. In a sense with all the bugs its a downgeade from my Sammy i760. Why would I want a downgrade? Worst case they can ...
