At the moment, VZ navigator is the only aGPS software that works with the Omnia; this is due to the fact that VZW locked down the aGPS chip to ONLY work with VZ Navigator.

With onboard aGPS, ANY gps software should work with the Omnia (ie google maps); such is the case with the international versions of the Omnia. Verizon claims that they locked down aGPS because the avail 3rd party software does not meet their 'standards' (read, they want you pay the subscription fee even though they are providing virtually no service).

I have this premium package on my voyager that gives me unlimited data, texts, vz nav is included, and mobile email. I think it's 20 or 25 bucks, i pay an extra 15 for the mobile tv which i am ready to switch up for slingboxing, what plan gives me all of the above on the omnia? more expensive , or cheaper?

omnia is not premium pricing capable.

you can get select pricing and get the unlimited txt/messaging ect.

with the omnia you would also need some sort of data plan/agreement which will give you web/email ect.

If you price the select plan + data plan, it's about the same as a premium plan...

VZ nav would be another feature that could be added on for 9.99$/mo or 2.99$/24 hours.

omnia does not support mobile TV.

all can be configured at www.verizonwireless.com

hope that clear things up.
