Predictive text

Can you turn off the predictive text feature? I was using this phone in a store and found it really irritating. I just want to be able to type without seeing all the "guesses" the phone has for what I'm typing. Thanks in advance for any help.

You can turn it off, but the phone will either not be easy to type on, or require a lot of getting used to. I have had a regular querty keyboard and it was far easier to use. So far, the virtual keyboard is not as accurate, even using t9. Just to be fair though, I tried the one on the iphone and it is no better.

Yes, if you'd like not to have the Omnia make its silly guesses, simply tap the xT9 bottom at the bottom of the keyboard (just to the left of the space). It will toggle predictive text off (the button will instead say "abc"). Toggle it back on as needed or desired.
