Some of the web pages are impossible to read, the text is very small. Sometimes, there is a field on such a page that I need to fill in order to log into the page. How do I zoom into these spaces? How can I make the querty open on these fields?

thx,
Joey

Double-tap to zoom in. Double-tap again to zoom out.

Unfortunately, I think once you are "zoomed in", you may not be able to zoom in further, if that's what you mean.

However, you might try zooming out, then double-tapping specifically on the small part. The zoom-in is supposed to be "smart"; it might zoom in more depending on what you double-tapped on.

You need to be zoomed in to click links or edit forms. One you're zoomed in, click a form field to edit it. If the keyboard doesn't pop up, there should at least be a keyboard icon in the center of the bar at the bottom; click the keyboard icon to bring it up.

How can you tell if you are getting 3g? I can not tell any improvement in the Web on this phone compared to my MotoQ.

A good question. This morning, I looked at my brother's AT&T Phone and on the screen, it displayed 3G. Don't this on the Omnia. I do see Ev. I need to know what that Icon means. Anyone?

What about the RevA? Is there any indication of this?

I had exactly the same question, but after the crack about my learning curve I decided not to ask it here. There must be friendly forums than this one. I wonder if Samsung will have an official forum. What they do with this phone may affect the flat TV I get soon.

Joey...this is a great forum. I do not know about the reference you make to "learning curve" but everyone goes through a learning curve in everything they do. So, hang in here with us...we need your thought-provoking questions!
I was over on the Howard Forums and saw an Omnia Today Screen graphic someone had posted. And there was the 3G Icon on the screen. No Ev Icon but a 3G Icon. Maybe tomorrow I'll go see my Vzw contact and pick his brain about 3G and why it does not show on my Omnia. I love this phone! It's got a big learning curve to it but it is fun for me! So far, my Onnia has not shown me any disappointments. Battery life is holding up well, the screen display is excellent, call quality is outstanding. I'm only into my 2nd...

ur probably looking at the i900 (which is gsm)

if the phone says EV its 3g, 1X is voice. when you use 3g (EVDO) the phone usually shows EV only, not the 1X.

when not using the data (web, pic message ect.) the phone should show EV/1X, telling you that your in a voice/data area.

when on a voice call, the phone should only show 1X, not EV.

for the most part, the phones hide what you dont need, so when you can only use 1x, ev is gone, and vise versa.

hope this helps

I have tapped and tapped. it does nothing. However, there is a setting where I can set the browser to mobile...that seemed to help. I have not tested it extensively yet though

When using Opera, if you run you finger along the right side of the screen but slightly to the LEFT of the scroll bar, you will get a manual zoom feature where you can zoom in and out.

Test it out, it takes some practice to get it right, but once you do it's a real time saver.

Ok, Thanks. I see that. The scroll bar only shows up when I touch the side of the screen, and only if I do not have the display setting in Mobile Mode, in which there is no scrool bar. Plus in Mobile mode, there is no zoom feature.
Thank you for showing me another feature.
