3G Iphone Wont Charge on My Bose Sound Dock!!!!!!
Why is that? My old iphone did! I have a cheap Sound Dock from Radio that did charge it.

Most likely the pins on the your connector are different from the old iphone to the new one. Dont quote me on it. But it sounds that way. Not sure why they would do that - that would make the new iphone not backwards compatible with a LOT of the hardware out there... hmmm...

I discovered the same thing on 2 different devices that previously worked with the old iPhone.
1.) A clock radio with an iPod slot
2.) A jensen in-dash radio/dvd player

It could be either, but if Apple was smart, it is firmware. If they actually DID swap the pin connections around on the port of the phone, that would make all of your legacy accesories paperweights.

Just to clarify, it still plays but just wont charge. When you first attach the iphone to one of these accesories it pops up a warning that states: "Charging is not supported with this accessory." and then gives you the option to put into "Airplane Mode".

Hmmm... sounds like firmware if the phone detects the charger and says "yeah I see the charger, but I am not going to charge". I would check to make sure that the DC voltage on the charger for the new iphone is the same as the old iphone - better yet, can you charge your new iphone with the old iphone charger ?
