Can I get an iphone and get push email from hotmail??? I dont use exchange and this is one of the reasons I did not get the original iphone.

I do not know if it will be the same with the new iphone but I know like with the blackberries and other PDA's hotmail would work only you have to pay hotmail $10 or something like that. That is not through AT&T it is something that hotmail has set up unless you have had your email acct for 7+ years then it should work.

Yes I actually do have the pay hotmail account. I was just wondering about the push feature. I had a blackberry pearl and HATED it but it was nice to have push hotmail. If anyone has a hotmail account they are using with an iphone it would be great to get some info

I know with the original iphone it wasnt push email, you had to click on the mail icon and it would update and pull in all your new messages you had received.... just trying to help 😕

not true, if you go into settings under message settings you can change it to check every 15 mins, 30mins and so on. I know this because I carry the first iphone. But, I still can't get hotmail which blows without izymail. Hopefully an app will become available for hotmail/live.

Okay my friend told me the best way to get around this problem is to have your hotmail forwarded to a gmail account. Gmail accounts are push correct? One other question I have is that if I do forward my email to Gmail and then respond on my iphone will it say the message is from my hotmail account or gmail account. Soooooo close to buying one... was in apple store today and I was just itching to get one(they had them) but i gotta make sure it is gonna work for me. HELP!!!! 😲
