Rev A Vs. 3G

Has anyone even checked the coverage maps of AT&T 3 G coverage? It is crazy unless you live in a major city there is no benefit of getting the new iphone. I work for Sprint and I will admit that there is no phone that can match the flashy feature of the iphone, but check out the coverage. Sprint's Rev A network is not only faster it is more wide spread. Also as far as the instinct vs. the Iphone where is everyone getting their info that the speeds of the internet is faster on the iphone? 3g-1.5mbs peak vs.Rev a 3.1 mbs peak. I'm not trying to bash anything or anyone if i had extra money i would buy a ipod touch in a heart beat. But im tired of watching people getting on and saying things that aren't true.

att's peak speed is 3.6 but your not always going to see that, just like sprints speed you wont always peak at 3.1 they are the same.

AT&T has officially announced this morning that 2008 will be a very big year for its wireless broadband networks. America’s largest cellular provider has plans to expand its 3G coverage into more than 80 new cities in 2008. The target is to cover more than 350 leading US markets by the end of the year http://www.boygeniusreport.com/2008/02/06/att -announces-major-3g-expansion-in-2008/

if they sell another 6 million iphones i think the extra 10 bucks a month will pay for that expansion. besides how many farmers are going to care if they are in the 3g area. my house is on the edge. but my wifi will make up for that.

Are you kidding 3.6???? Where are you getting your numbers? 3.6 in America i'll switch my aircard right now. Try 1.7, maybe someday they'll be that fast but right now Sprint is the place to be internet wise.

Wow i got the reply email as i was selling a usb aircard to an AT&T customer who threw his at&t one out the window. Most people have a bias against Sprint for one reason or another. As far as the speeds its based on area. Sprint has the potential to be faster than any carrier based on where you are with your aircard. I receive speeds faster than 1.2mbs in a small town in florida.
