BB Maps/Telenav
Does/Will ATT cripple the on board GPS for use with BB Maps, or do they leave it open? I don't know if this is common practice with ATT on their RIM devices. Alltel forces you to use Telenav to "unlock" the service, then BB Maps operates.

Last I knew, AT&T does not disable features on the phone like Verizon & Alltel do...
Not sure if GPS would still work on BB Maps without service add-on, but the GPS will work with Google maps for GPS fix only, you just won't get turn-by-turn GPS Guidance...

Gotcha. I certainly hope they don't lock the LBS files to disable it. I'll continue to use my nuvi 760 in the car, but I still love my BB maps.
