Not Looking good for April OR May.......

Check out this site. It is a Sprint prefered partner. They are pre-selling the Curve for a release date of June 1st. Yesterday the listing said April 20th. So the June rumor appears to be true.

If this holds true Sprint really dropped the ball. I believe that MANY customers will jump ship and goto T-Mobile or AT&T. T-Mobile's plan included everything as well (the only exception is TV and radio). Unlimited calling, text, picture mail, wi-fi calling (Internet does cost $9.99 more ๐Ÿ‘ฟ ) and MOST important it is a world phone. If you want GPS you can add a bluetooth receiver for less than $40.00. Sprint get on the ball or people WI...

If you jump ship because you cannot wait any longer you have to realize that you're cheating yourself. Tmobile doesn't have music or streaming TV, Navigation. I asked my Manger if the SE plan is going out, he said they might keep it.

Also the network is much better, who cares about customer service like you're going to call them everyday. I've learned if people stopped calling like Sprint owes them maybe they would be a bit nicer.

Unfortunately unlike Tmobile, AT&T, and Verizon, we have the worst clientale. Due to Sprint being extremely greedy, their minimum deposit is $150 and anybody can get a phone. While those other carriers charge $500-$1000 if you have no credit or bad credit.

The only reason I am looking at Sprint is b/c of that Unlimited Plan. If they don't release it before then, than I'll just go with something else.

Cellphone service is a commodity. And Sprint needs to realize that. The reason people call customer service is because of the lousy billing and network issues. Because you work for Sprint that makes you bias. At the end of the day who cares about TV and radio. The quality isn't that great anyway. And if you did a survey of who actually uses those features I would guarantee the total percentage would be less than 10%. So Sprint stop feeding us a bunch of crap. Put your money where your mouth is. ๐Ÿ˜ฒ

Just chatted w/a Sprint rep and he said the release date is June 1st and to direct all further questions to 1-800-Sprint-1 Telesales. Guess they're getting pissed at the phone calls and questions about the Curve's release date . . .oh well, I'll be waiting patiently til June! ๐Ÿ˜ข

Who cares for those features? I do, why have the SE if it's only voice? It's all proven, people want this plan because it offers everything including the media package. Just because you don't think the quality is great doesn't mean other's doesn't.

My opinions it's not even worth having a Curve on the AT&T network because it's just another Blackberry. I want as phone that'll keep me entertained. Also since I work for Sprint I get those options free, as you would if you had the Simply Everything Plan. I'm sure you're one of those people that forgot which plan you were on, go over your minutes every month and when you see it documented on the bills you totally forget that you downloaded 80 ringers. I see it everyday. I have my own opinions...

Who knows, Sprint is probably launching the Curve in June because they found out Verizon isn't coming out with theirs until June. I'm sure they initially thought April would be VZW's launch date.

Verizon had never said they'd be launching in June. They have only said May. However, Sprint store manager, customer service, and retention employees have all told me that Sprint's Curve may be delayed til June. That has nothing to do with Verizon.

Um, First off what I was saying was Sprint is so concerned with what Verizon does. They're always competing with Verizon. Why are you being quick to jump to assumption when I said NOTHING bad about Verizon. Seriously! ๐Ÿ˜ณ

Well, point well taken. I just wanted it to be clear to all readers that, although you said, "Sprint is probably launching the Curve in June because they found out Verizon isn't coming out with theirs until June"

Verizon never said that, only Sprint has said that. What you said could mislead others to think that verizon has now decided to delay their accounced May release date til June. I've already seen people who read your post, post in other threads that Verizon's not releasing til June, and referenced your post. Lol.

Actually, I'll quote your post and direct statement here again,

"by MizzSprint Today, 1:54 PM

Who knows, Sprint is probably launching the Curve in June because they found out Verizon isn't coming out with theirs until June. I'm sure they initially thought April would be VZW's launch date"

you clearly mentioned "they found out Verizon isn't coming out with theirs until June", So you made others think that verizon said that they won't be coming out with theirs until June. However, the only truth is that Sprint has said that they won't be coming out with theirs until June.

Verizon has consistently said they "don't know the actual launch date" for the Curve, and the sales force "is always the last to know". They say to check the website, but I haven't found any info on that either. But a Verizon rep today told me "next month." Again, pretty vague, but we'll just all have to be patient...

Dude, since the beginning of April, Verizon has been saying in May, but they don't know the exact date in May. It's been on Verizon's website that it would be in may since the beginning of April.

It's not either way--sprint could have gotten a leg up on one of the hottest CDMA releases this year. And as of right now, it appears they may have dropped the ball. If you can't deliver on a release date--then don't release one!

Just another perfect example of why sprint will be out of business if they continue down the path they are going.

And as far I know the verizon release is accurate and has remained unchanged. I'll be using mine on the best network in america by May 7th baby!!

You made up something about Verizon. Read your statement. "Sprint is probably launching the Curve in June because they found out Verizon isn't coming out with theirs until June"

Lol, verizon made a press statement that theirs will be coming in May, and they haven't changed that plan. Sprint, on the other hand, has been letting customers know that they've changed their plans and that it won't be available til June.

MizzSprint,

Thats a bunch of Bull@!#@# if I have ever heard any! I am a loyal Sprint customer and have been for over 10 years. I don't run to a store or call Sprint very much. But from the interaction that most people get from Sprint reps is mostly negative. Look at your attitude towards my post. You are obviously very hostile. What would Sprint management, especially Dan Hesse think of you telling people to LEAVE? Maybe people are fed up because of this type of response. This forum is supposed to be used for informational purposes but obviously you like to sling mud.

Okay, you didn't like the fact that I said if you don't like it leave. If you took offense to it then that's on you. I'm being realistic, just like if you didn't like your job, what do you think they're going to say " Aw we'll give you a raise" Heck no they're going to say buhbye.

People always say how they were with their carrier such and such odd years and are loyal ๐Ÿ™„ but to me they're loyal under certain circumstances. Quick to throw dirt on Sprint, They owe you nothing, you pay your light bill for the past 10 years do you expect more than the lights you're paying for?? NO! So why do you expect a wireless carrier to bend over backwards for you? When most of the time we have to twist your arms to renew your contracts yet you expe...

For some reason they're being really hush hush with this device. I don't even know if the phone is going to be charcoal or silver. My co-worker did planogram and theres a Curve on one of the posters and it looks charcoal. I think they're going to do what they did with the Pearl, launch the first than within 2 months launch the red. I honestly think they should launch them all at the same time. Why should people get screwed with a color they don't want, 2months later the color they want comes out It's backwards.

Okay, let me tell ya IT WAS A NIGHTMARE FOR ME ALSO! LOL! No, but I bought it as a birthday gift to myself in Nov. 2006, had to have it replaced in Feb. 2007, got tired of the same thing (freezing screens, while texting a call would come through and I couldn't answer the call, like normal, not able to use the memory card, so all the info I had on it was lost!, etc. -the list continues) . . .I decided, hey, I need a more reliable phone, got the Mogul in Sep. 2007, b/c it was the best phone at the time (I'm a phone fanatic!) and didn't know my contract was up in Nov. paid full price for the darn Mogul, but I have always wanted the BB Curve, decided to stay w/Sprint and if all else fails I'd get whatever was hot on the market this coming fall ...
