.... sigh .... I really wanted to love this phone

but it is going back.

10 days of "what ? are you still there ? where did you go ? hello, you there ?" really wore me down

and, even at full volumes, the earpiece is barely OK

it isn't the reception - 3-4 bars all the time, it's the design

if you cup your hand pefectly under the phone, to channel your voice - people hear you fine, deviate, even a little, and they think you are gone.

there is ONE sweet spot to listen to the earpiece, deviate, even a little, and the volume drops 3dB

it's is absolutely the best keyboard i have ever used on a phone - it just doesn't work very good as a phone .......

the lack of an intelligent locking feature, either easy access to SECURITY LOCK, or less stupid "ANYTHING-OK" to release the key...

I feel the same way as you. I initially gave this phone a very glowing review in April. But after 2 months of owning it, I'm pretty tired of its tricks. It needs a f/w update immediately to resolve some of the issues it has.

I also have to ask if people are there or they as me if I'm there. Especially the speaker phone. If it's more then 3 inches from directly in front of my mouth, it's useless. I try to put it in front of my monitor when I'm typing on the computer, a total distance of 14 inches. Nobody can hear me. It'd help if there was a mic on the inside of it to use during speaker phone usage.

No, after actually owning it for awhile, suffering thru pocket dialing, and then Verizon and LG telling me in emails that there is ...

i'd go with one of the touch screens, but they all seem only about 50% of the way there - they response I get when using them in the store would make me crazy.

I may have to go back to a regular flip
...
