text entry mode while closed
i was just wondering if there was anyway to change the default entry mode when the phone is closed. mine always defaults to abc mode. i would like it to always be on word mode.

From the front screen, select OK, 2-Messaging, 1-New Message, Select OK again for OPTIONS, 1-Entry Mode, and 1-Word.

thank you for your reply. unfortunately, it seems that i'll have to do this every time i send a message because the phone doesn't remember my preference.
it's not a big deal... only a minor annoyance. i rarely text from the closed position anyways.

Just checked something else. On the inside screen, try going to Menu, 2 Messaging, left soft key-Settings, 1 Entry Mode and select Word. For mine it controls the outside screen method.

Awesome, that totally worked. thanks for the tip. that actually will come in handy over time. i do, on occasion, like to fire off a quick message without opening the phone and this makes it easier to that.
