Music Player problems.

The music player is the most important feature for me. Followed by wed browsing, email, texting, pictures, then finally the actual phone.

We'll I'm feed up with this music player. First off, songs randomly stop at 4:34 seconds. You can select the song again and it will play through. This is a totally random, but frequent occurrence.

But worst off, I loaded 1754 songs onto an 8MB card and only the first 254 songs are accessible in shuffle mode. Other songs are accessible by artist or album, others you simply can't play from any menu.

So I started trying things. I took my perfectly good 4MB card out of my old Chocolate and the same problems happened. So it must not be the card.

i know all the files except 1 ludacris song work. most of the time if they dont work its the file name. it is either too long or has certain characters in it that the phone wont support. did the rest of those songs that dont work, work in any other phone?

I replaced the 8MB card last night. After loading everything up all songs appear to be accessible from the artist and album menus. But still, only the first 250 some-odd songs of 1700 some-odd are accessible when you go to "Play all songs" and put it in shuffle mode. This is the mode I use most often when traveling by plane or car.

The same thing happens when I take to old 4MB card out of my old chocolate and put it in the Dare.

I let it play on mute all night and the problem of stopping at 4:34 seems to have gone away for now.

How are you loading them? I used to just dump onto card and sometimes I would run into issues, but If I load them through the cable+phone through Windows media player everything works fine everytime
