how do you bring up the dial pad to either text or put in your code for your voicemail? ive tried everything

Go to call settings/show dialpad, make sure the voicemail/toll free selection is chosen.

Not sure, mine just comes up when I pull the phone awa y from my face. Ill mess with it for a while, and if I find anything I will let you know.

Yeah, the DARE has a cool proximity sensor built into it, so if you move the phone away from your face, the dial pad should come back to the touch screen.

i figured it out, my dare was broken, i took it back to VZW 2 days ago and got a new one. works like a charm. Thanks to everyone for all of your help!!

Incase you haven't done it yet take it back. The first phone I got did the same thing they could not even program it for me it was faulty right out of the box.
