Memory Leaking!

Ok, I've had my "Verizon" BB Pearl 8130 for about a week now. I've read up and noticed that it has a memory leak every once in awhile. Thus making the phone automatically delete text messages and call logs. After it has done so, the phone will continue to delete incoming text messages until you have to do a hard reset on the phone (I take the battery out for a min and put it back.) Please anyone feal free to post replys if you have the same problem. I want to know. 🙄

I got mine the first day and I have the same problem. Every now and then I hit the call button and it is empty. Any ideas?

All I know is that Blackberry better come out with an update that fixes the leaking. There are ways to increase the sizes space on the phone but you shouldn't have to do it. You probably haven't noticed but you'll see your text messages dissappear and you won't be able to recieve anymore until you take the battery out and put back in. I hate it 😡

That is what happened the day after I bought it. I returned it, have not had a problem in the 7 days since I returned it. Take it back before your 30 days is up!

It's a known issue with the newer BB's.

go to options, then status. then look at the column where it says File Free. if it says 0 then that means you have no space left on ur device. therefore it will delete anything old on the phone in order to take in new information. i had this problem when i downloaded google maps. i got rid of it and now do not have the problem.

Is there a way to have it prompt you before it delet's everything? I have had mine for a week and a half and have had this happen three times. I love it otherwise. Is there a fix?

No you just have to keep an eye on the memory, the norm is about 10megs try not to let it go below that.
