Anyone know the easiest way i can transfer my contacts from my old phone (VX8700) to the blackberry pearl? I was hoping "Phonebook Assistance" could do it but I'm stumped! 🙄

You probably will have to take it to the store to a technician pay the 10 bucks to transfer. Otherwise, input all your contacts into your contact list in Outlook and sync it up which is my suggestion since you will have your contacts backed up on your computer. Another reason is that way you can also input extra phone numbers or emails for your contacts that are already in your 8700. Unfortunately, the 8130 is not BREW capable and you can't download Backup assistant onto it.

I'm not sure what the VX8700 is capable of, but the easiest way to get your contacts on the Pearl is to have them in Outlook and then sync the Pearl using the Desktop Manager software. I've been able to keep my contacts for several years, though multiple PDA/phones by having everything in Outlook which is the de-facto standard PIM.
